Together with Ilse Schuit (soprano) and Toon Biermans (piano), Suzanne performed in the premiere of A Story I Wish I Was told. This is a song cycle composed by Kiete van der Laan for two voices and piano. It was staged by Raya Mathiak for the performance on May 2nd 2024 in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
A Story I Wish I Was Told is a collection of songs about memories from before the time Van der Laan came out as a lesbian and as genderfluid, coupled with a few lessons they learned in the time since.
