During the fall holiday, lied duo Élysium (Suzanne Charité and Yik Toong) will perform a 45 min program at the Hasseltse Kapel in Tilburg. Duo Élysium will tell the story of a woman in love who meets her beloved in the heart of a forest. When he fails to show up, she is overcome with grief. Through songs and arias by composers such as Bizet, Vaughan Williams, and Wolf, we follow her journey from longing and despair to strength and liberation. Ultimately, she decides to let go of her beloved and go her own way.
